Last night...we discovered that the roofer did not cover ALL of the roof. Yep, you guessed it. The constant rain resulted in water flowing into the downstairs computer room. There is significant water damage to the ceiling. We have removed the rug and mamsan cushion, and they are drying now. However, the wood floor is damaged.
I am going to assume that repairs will be made and that we are not responsible for the cost. I'm just going to assume that....
It was lucky that one of us went over there to check on the house, though by the time we addressed the issue with a tarp in the attic, the rain had already stopped.
I'll be going back to the house this afternoon. I am sure the damage will be addressed. It just means a little more inconvenience and time as we will have to access the damage and then remove everything from that room for repairs to be made.
